Sunday pic spam

Last February pic spam! Because I am so done with Photobucket, I am now moving all my pictures to Imagur and Slickpic. This means I will basically create a pic spam album every week. All you have to do is click the first picture, which will bring you to that album, click it again for full size and then you can scroll through the album by clicking the arrows. Simple as that

For some reason, the iPad app for livejournal doesn't like linking directly with slickpic. I tried clicking on a pic to enlarge it from the app, but kept getting directed to the slickpic main site. I was successful in photo enlargement from web access to livejournal. Gotta have my Bean!

It works perfect on my Ipad, but perhaps it is because I don't have the LJ app installed.

Great pic spam!! Is picture number 19 a new one and who is the girl he's with?

No, that's an old pic. That is Amy Ellery, a former girlfriend. She was already 'former' when that picture was shot; he was with Georgina back then.

The pictures are so much smaller this time. @_@ Is it a thing with slickpic, or my PC being weird, or they are smaller?

Also, let me kick Photobucket for you. /KICKS

Thank you for kicking them; they truly deserve it. You're right; the pictures are smaller. but for the moment this is the best I could do. There seems to be not other host that offers me what the old photobucket used to . At least I am able to make my posts in a reasonable time. The last time I tried the new 'improved' (Ha!) Photobucket it took me two hours. I just don't have the time for that. It's either this or I'll have to stop posting the Sunday spam. I am sorry.

No, don't be sorry! It really isn't your fault that Photobucket decides to be an asshole about these things. /kicks it again. ♥!

Does imgur not offer photo albums under a registered account like Photobucket used to? It's pretty user-friendly, the last time I checked. I'm not very sure about that, though.

As I wrote on top; I took a paid account both woth Imagur and Slickpic. They work exactly the same. I don't know what they will do with my really large pics, I am planning to use them evry two weeks, as they still have a limited space and size, even with a paid account. I used to have the option in PB for clickable thumbs in HTML that clicked upon, gave the pictures on an empty page. Both in Slickpic and Imagur and of course the new PB it links back to the company, which is not what I want. That is why I am creating a new album now every week. The only other option is a more expensive account, but I just can't afford that. As I said, for the moment we'll have to do with this. If anyone has a better solution, please bring it on.

Imgur, afaik, resizes pics over 1MB, which is really annoying and I hate it so much. There might a solution to that, though it's kind of troublesome. Saving files as PNG instead of JPG basically reduces the file size a lot - it's like the difference between AVI and MP4. But it's troublesome.

You really don't have to pay extra, ahhh! It's just going to be slightly more troublesome again. There's should be a 'direct link' option (at least, I know there is one in imgur and in photobucket). You copy paste it directly between the quotemarks right after the a href. It directly links to the picture. Like, gimme a sec.

The code for this is:

In contrast to this, which is what you have now and which you don't want:

... I don't know how clear I am, I suck at explaining things. I also suck at remembering proper html.

I do understand you, but it is an awful lot of work. Esoecially wghen I see the few comments, it makes me wonder if it's worth the time and trouble. I think I'll make do with this for a while. Thank you, though!

GOVI!!! These are BRILLIANT!!!!

I get them up fullscreen....aaaaah and am shaking with the wondrous clarity and - oh BEAN!! with the black background it's so bright and clear and no blurring. HELLS BELLS, it is the most beautiful Beanspam EVER...

I am twitching with the sheer beauty... of eyes mostly, but what this system does to snaps is out of this WORLD!
And so easy to use too. FAR less clicking up and down and the waiting. oh good greef. Oh wow. Glory allelujah

And with my Classic music and a BIG screen Bean. A Perfect day. Oh THANK you.

Lovely selection as always; I especially like the Sharpe ones!

I'm pissed off with PB too and have told them so, but can't be arsed to go elsewhere to be honest. So I looked back to a previous post on my journal, found the thumbnail html and now just insert the relevant direct link as shown below

e.g.

which gives this

and clicking it takes you to the image at full size on a blank page. I appreciate that it takes more time than before but I keep a copy of the 'formula' and once the process is in my head, it doesn't take too long!

Thanks for taking the time to do this every week (and every day) and for trying to find a way to make this work with a new type of album!
