If a picture paints a thousand words...

If
David Gates
If a picture paints a thousand words,
then why can't I paint you?
The words would never show,
the you I've come to know...

If a face could launch a thousand ships,
then where am I to go?
There's no one home but you,
you’re all that's left me to...

And when my love for life
is running dry,
You come and pour
yourself on me...

If a man could be two places at one time,
I'd be with you,
tomorrow and today,
beside you all the way...

If the world should stop revolving,
Spinning slowly down to die,
I'd spend the end with you
when the world was through...

Then one by one
the stars would all go out...
Then you and I
would simply fly away!

EDIT:

unfortunately when an LJ community or personal LJ is set to allow Anonymous posts - it does just that - allows the person to post with no backtrace - or at least none that I'm aware of I am doing much better today - it's amazing what a little sleep and some down time can do for perspective

I'd like to thank all who've expressed here and privately in support of me - I am most grateful I know that I can take things to heart a bit too quickly but I realized that I had also had an 'Anonymous' posting to my personal LJ a few weeks ago as well (I'd ended up deleting the snide post and disabling the anonymous posts to my private LJ back then) - in retrospect I suspect it was the same person and by disabling the anonymous post to my private LJ she/he decided to take their nastiness into the open -- and I also suspect that it just hit too close to home to comments that were posted on the other LJ community

again my most profuse thanks for your kind words of encouragement and support - you are all most gratefully appreciated (by me and my muse :) )
